Nova Scotia tops with business confidence index

Low oil prices and a low Canadian dollar mean Nova Scotia’s business confidence index is leading the country, says a report by the Canadian Federation of Independent Business.

The so-called business barometer index shows 18 per cent of Nova Scotian respondents to the survey intend to add to their staff in the near future. Only seven per cent expect to cut staff.
