Chris Ronald


RBC, Atlantic Canada Region

As Regional President, Chris Ronald oversees the sales and market management of Atlantic Canada. This includes setting the direction, developing strategy and managing the overall performance and delivery of RBC’s products and services to more than 800,000 personal and business clients in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador.

Since joining RBC in 1988, Chris has held a wide variety regional and national office positions, with a concentration in Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, Advice (Contact) Centres and Human Resources.  Prior to assuming his current role in 2018, Chris was Regional Vice President of Corporate, Commercial and Private Banking for the 18 Caribbean Islands in which RBC has a presence, including Trinidad, Bahamas and Barbados.

Chris holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario.

A believer in community, Chris has been involved in numerous volunteer activities, particularly with the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society.  He is currently on the board of directors for the QEII Hospital Foundation and Halifax Partnership.

Chris is married with two daughters and a stepson, and resides in Halifax.
