Roger Howard

As Regional President of the Atlantic Region, Roger Howard sets the direction, develops the strategy and manages the overall performance and delivery of RBC’s products and services to more than 800,000 personal and business clients in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador.

Since joining RBC in 1996, Roger has held a wide range of regional and national office leadership positions, with a concentration in Retail and Commercial Banking and Advice (Contact) Centre management.  Prior to assuming his current role in 2014, he was Vice President of RBC’s Advice Centres in Moncton, Montreal, Mississauga, Winnipeg and Vancouver.    

Roger holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and completed his MBA in 2004 at the Schulich School of Business, York University.  He was named a Top 50 CEO for Atlantic Canada in 2016.

A believer in community, Roger has served on various not for profit and business boards in Ontario and Nova Scotia. He is currently on the board of directors for the QEII Hospital Foundation, Mount St. Vincent University, Atlantic Provinces Economic Council and Greater Halifax Partnership.   He has also been co-chair of the Halifax WE Day Committee since 2014. 

Roger resides in Halifax, Nova Scotia with his wife and three children.
