'Pitch It!' Video Contest

Congratulations to our 'Pitch It!' Video Contest winner Sarah Deveau! Sarah took home the $1,000 cash prize, while Elizabeth Shaw came in second place with $300 and Meghan Lafferty in third place with $200. From January 18 - 25, we challenged Halifax's young talent to submit their best Game Changers pitch and received over 30 videos submissions. The contest winners were announced at our 'Pitch It!' event on March 1st

Holly Chisholm

 A recent graduate from NSCC Advanced Diploma in Public Relations, Holly is currently working part-time on her Masters of Public Relations at MSVU and is looking for a dynamic, community oriented company to join.


David Culligan

 David learned about hard work, commitment, and focus by playing many sports growing up and through university. He has a lot of knowledge when it comes to Digital Marketing and is working to combine that with his passion for filmmaking.


Sarah Deveau

Sarah Deveau is graduating this spring with her MBA from Dalhousie, and has experience in pharmaceutical, management consulting and sales industries. She is looking to grow with an innovative company and become a business leader in Halifax.

Lixuan Jin


Lixuan is a Saint Mary's Commerce graduate student with sales experience, and management skills and has a strong passion to start her career in an related position.  


Meghan Lafferty

(3rd Place)

Meghan is a small town girl living in the city with her cat, Sailor Soupie. She enjoys tea, rainy days, reading, writing, and painting. 


Joshua Landry


Joshua is a soon-to-be graduate who has the attitude, energy, and know-how to push the limits of business growth in Halifax's economy. His gumption and experience make this young professional one to watch. 

Jennifer MacLean

Currently an NSCC Accounting student, Jen is on the journey to becoming a CPA Game Changer! Being a Lead Server at Casino Nova Scotia, as well as a full-time student creates the skills she needs to achieve this goal. 


Meggie MacMichael

Meggie MacMichael is passionate about the well-being of Nova Scotia, particularly the rural parts of our province. She recently completed her Masters of Environmental Studies at Dalhousie and is looking to bring her skills to a company committed to making Nova Scotia the best it can be. 

Miranda Mavhunga

Aspiring Professional Accountant and Financial Analyst realizing the dream one day at a time, and inspiring others to places of courageous endeavor! 


Janis McCulloch


Janis McCulloch is a driven and enthusiastic fourth year Public Relations student at MSVU. She recently completed an eight-month work term with an international PR agency in Toronto, and worked with clients including Energizer, the Ontario Ministry of Health and Uncle Ben's. 

Elizabeth Shaw

Enthusiastic leader and recent graduate looking for an opportunity to help enhance the healthcare system in Nova Scotia through improvement initiatives. International work experience, an outgoing personality and the ability to grasp new concepts quickly prove to be Elizabeth's strongest assets.
