Project Manager, Connector Program
Denise joined the Halifax Partnership in the spring of 2012. She is responsible for managing the implementation and expansion of the Connector Program - a networking program that helps immigrants, international students and recent graduates succeed in Halifax. Denise works closely with participants, connecting them with business leaders throughout Halifax and providing talent solutions to boost the local economy.
Denise spent time working in educational project management across Alberta. She also helped international and immigrant students enter post secondary institutions and obtain professional employment. Since returning to Halifax in 2008, Denise has worked for Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia (ISANS) and Dalhousie University. Highlighting her passion for intercultural and Global affairs, Denise has an M.Ed is in Educational Policy, and her background includes academic and workplace instruction, intercultural communication and teacher training in Canada, Taiwan and China.
Denise volunteers with École Bois-Joli through the Conseil Scolaire Acadien Provincial and Junior Achievement.
