Julie Weir

Project Coordinator, Experiential Learning

Julie joined the Partnership in 2017 as the Program Coordinator of Experiential Learning. In her role she works on implementing the Experiential Learning initiative, a pilot program that connects local businesses and organizations with post-secondary students studying in Nova Scotia who are looking for work experience.

Julie is originally from Antigonish, Nova Scotia.  She graduated from St. Francis Xavier University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics, and from Dalhousie University with a Master’s of Science. Julie has a diverse background in health, research and post-secondary education. Having previously worked with the Nova Scotia Community College and the Department of Labour and Advanced Education on a province-wide project on experiential learning, Julie brings a wealth of knowledge and a unique perspective to the project. Julie continues to work and volunteer in the healthcare and research field, passionate about the health and wellbeing of Nova Scotians. In her spare time Julie is avid runner and loves to volunteer with animal rescues.
