Wendy Luther Announced as President & CEO of Halifax Partnership

Wendy’s 17 years of experience in leadership positions representing Nova Scotia nationally and internationally is an outstanding asset to the Partnership as it continues to build upon the positive indicators that are driving success in our city.

Wendy brings an outstanding track record to the Partnership, most recently serving as President and CEO of EduNova since 2012. With a mandate to elevate Nova Scotia’s profile for international students, EduNova works with universities, colleges, private schools and a network of consultants to highlight Nova Scotia’s education advantage.

While at EduNova, Wendy developed the award-winning Study and Stay™ program, which incentivizes international students to stay in Nova Scotia and build their careers here. Results show over 80 per cent of the first cohort of the Study and Stay program are still in Nova Scotia, contributing to the dynamic business climate that the Partnership is committed to building. This experience will serve Wendy well in continuing to drive toward achieving the Halifax Economic Growth Plan’s ambitious goals of growing our population to 550,000 and GDP to $30 billion by 2031.

Prior to EduNova, Wendy spent time as a Trade Development Executive with Nova Scotia Business Inc. (NSBI), working to market Nova Scotia to the world as an investment opportunity and a thriving export market.

The selection committee included members of the Board of Directors and Partnership investors. The search was conducted by Royer Thompson.
